It seems finally Lail and Layla have had enough of their tortuous toying. As the Anthem of Day Six ends there is no sleep, the Moon changes to white and suddenly everything is shaking. Spirits spill through the sky as the shimmering stars which once watched you explode in bursting brilliance. The Moon begins to crack and break and the ground follows suit. Suddenly your feet fall through the tombstones and you go crashing through the ground. Is this the final hallway or your final execution?

It happens so suddenly. The world breaks. One moment Braylon in by my side our eyes looking at the full moon. The next instant it shatters and the world warps bending before our eyes, I try to think of something to say, discover some move to make but there are none. The ground opens to a gorge and devours us in its teeth of tombstones. The last signs of the surface I see are the stars shattering above me against the bleak black of the Maze's once stable sky.

Beneath the dark depths safety is certainly far from secure. I feel myself falling through the rubble but all I can think about it ensuring I survive the free fall. I don't know where Braylon is but I doubt it matters now. Maze Makers don't just destroy their Mazes, they finish them. Its time I accept that and embrace this clear conclusion.

My mind merges with surging sorrow as images of the brave blonde endless lick across my memories. Charlie Smith was little more than a stranger yet its her face which follows and haunts me. Even as Raiden stands now beside me I can't bring my attention away from her. Is dying for someone like myself even worth it? Am I really worthy to carry the weight of such a burden on my shoulders? I don't have time to truly contemplate the answer before everything changes.

My fingers fly for Raiden but they reach out too late. I scream out his name as I fall through the shattering shell of our world but I never hear a reply. I had him in my grasp for only hours and now everything is ending. I've seen this scene so many times before, seen so many die in the wrath of the Maze Makers destroying their cruel creation. Now I'm here, and my siblings watch me with a dangerous flicker in their eyes. Hope. They are wishing for my survival but I no there is far from any certainty. Yet as I fall I prepare myself for what I might see, what I might face. I must take each task at a time until I'm faced with the final question.

There’s no doubt that the concluding chapter is edging us closely - yet still my allies care for me well, patching up my own skin though within a near time we may be battling against each other. An unattended wound or a wrapped one could mean the difference between life and death, but they tend to me despite. Hardness should coat my own core, though it does not. Embraces envelope them in farewells like I’ve never given to anyone before, while I’m internally pleading we do not face one another in the final breach of survival. We part in acceptance of what’s to come soon, and a sigh dwindles me in my isolation of contemplation.

Purely a few hours divide my time of solitude. And unexpectedly the Maze begins to crumble beneath me. The sudden jolt pulses my heart rate into a race, as I brace in preparation of what’s to come.

After the anthem played, everything began to crumble and fall apart. From the sky to the ground, everything was seemingly in pieces- and then we were falling downward. Down, down, into the Earth, or whatever you could consider the Maze to be. Was it really even Earth? It was some sort of creation, at least. That was for sure. Something crazy the Mazemakers had dreamt up based on fairy tales.

As we went down, I lost Pierce. We were no longer side by side, but perhaps that was a good thing. This had to be the end for all but one of us, and I had a very strong desire to be that one survivor. I needed to be the one to live. I needed have that crown placed on my head and to return home victorious. I would not die. I would survive. It didn’t matter what I had to to in the process.

If I got home alive, there would be wealth. If I got home alive, there would be glory- never ending glory. If I got home alive, I’d go home a killer. The thing is, that last part didn’t bother me. I didn’t mind being a killer. I’d killed Horus Zontini. I’d killed mutts. I’d lost fingers. The only part of that which bothered me was having lost fingers. I could no longer flip people off, after all. Perhaps I’d have to get some metal ones and go cyborg after all this.

Blood stains the likes of my pale fingertips. Murderer labels the contract of my reputation. Nausea rumbles through my core. Somehow not even a paper cut slices my skin, yet I’ve done so much more upon others. Sure my Siblings have carved this path of mine, but innocence wasn’t supposed to posses them when they endured a Maze. Somehow Allies still remain at my side however, and for them I shall continue. Diligent fingers heal their weeping skin in stubborn desire to see them succeed, craving to perform the opposite of what I have caused before. Their facade grins nearly convince me of my reasoning, though it’s decided that we can not remain together. Too no surprise however, peace does no linger much longer within this confinement of silence.

There’s no doubt to what’s occurring. It’s been nearly a week of this ongoing battle, and the Capitol’s probably starving for results. So when the ground begins quaking beneath me, I brace in a held breath for what’s to come.

My heart is racing, and I don't know what to do, but I keep running as fast as I can. Baby bear jumps on my back, and he nearly topples me over, but I keep going. He clings to me, and I'm glad that he's there, but I know Noelle is here too.

At least until the earth shatters.

I look at the sky as the moon changes colors, and it starts falling apart. The sky opens up, and nothing makes sense anymore. Balls of ice fall from the sky, and they hurt as they hit my face. The temperature quickly changes, and I'm so cold. So so cold.

Baby bear clings tighter around my neck, and I want to hold onto him - I refuse to let him die.

I turn towards Noelle, yet the ground breaks and everything is falling. I don't know what's happening. Nothing makes sense. The ground is falling, and I'm falling and falling. I'm screaming trying to hold onto baby bear as tight as I possibly can because right now I need him.

But I'm so afraid that I'm going to die.

Za-Za, Zander and Kaydence all hugged one another goodbye that night, after the feast. They knew it was likely that the end was drawing near, and that they would need to part from one another. Only one could win this time, after all. No one else would be allowed to survive if one of them wanted to win, and Za-Za wanted to win. She needed to get home. It wasn’t just for herself, though. It was for her parents, and for her only living brother, Ben.

Although, if she were to die, and there were some sort of afterlife as this Maze seemed to imply to her, perhaps she’d see her now-deceased brother, Angelo, once again. It’d been far too long since he’d been by her side. Lorenza was really missing him, even now. As her potential final moments drew near, she wished he were by her side. After all, she was by his side as he took his last breath.

That was when the sky and ground alike both started to fall apart, collapsing beneath her feet. She tumbled, down, down, down, into the ground. She didn’t know where she was going. She just knew it was down. Lorenza Aita wanted to escape this Maze, though, meaning that she wouldn’t let that falling hinder her survival abilities. No, not today. Today, she would emerge victorious.

Mere pebbles scratch at my skin and bleed my interior. Control is lost from my grip, though somehow a gentle collapse breaches me into the water below. Heavy breaths inflate and exhale my lungs in a collection of my demeanor. A chill rattles my spine as the water clings to the frozen temperature. Surely there’s no denying that this is the Maze-Makers conclusion to their creation. The Maze had literally crumbled beneath us… and above, as I glance up to witness everything destroyed - including the Moon. Walls barricade me in a new cage, solely allowing me to breach down into the unknown. What’s to come is beyond any of our imaginations.

Braylon Yandelle. That was the name of a powerful individual. That was my name. I was strong, and I could survive. I could win this. I knew I could, and I knew I would. There was no giving up at this point. Then again, when was I ever really allowed to give up? Never. As soon as I entered this Maze, I was committed to fighting for survival. I was committed to trying to win, and win I would.

I managed to fall down through the ground unscathed, luckily enough. I was alive, thus far, and it needed to continue to be that way. I wasn’t going to allow myself to get hurt at all, if I could help it. I needed to make sure I survived. Dying wasn’t an option, just like I wasn’t going to allow giving up to be an option.

“I’m not here to die! I’m gonna make it out of here and become a damn cyborg!” I shouted as I began treading water.

Skins rips from unknown obstacles. Uncertainty leaves a scream scratching through my throat in horrific fear. Water welcomes me into the brisk end of what’s to come. Glistening eyes pierce up to find the world collapsed entirely, even bringing the moon along with it. But the devastation of above can be none of my concern. Now all I can achieve is focus on the future, which resides below in the uncertainty of this chilling waters. With one large breath, I flutter below to see what awaits.

Somehow I'm still alive, but I'm not alone. Everyone is here, and I'm so so afraid. So afraid of dying right now because I feel that this is the end. This is where everything falls apart for six others while it comes together for one. One person will escape, and I want that one person to be me. But I don't know if I can.

But I keep going.

I hold baby bear tighter because he's the only thing holding me down. He's keeping me alive, and I know that I can do this. I can make it out of this alive.

I know I can, but I'm so afraid.

I take another breath as I continue moving forward one step after another. But I'm prepared to hold my breath because this one looks like I'm going to need all the help I can get.

After surviving her first task unscatched, it was time for her to get out of the water that was quickly rising. Za-Za needed to put all of her willpower into survival. That was the only way to get out alive. She had to keep going. Keep trying. Work harder and harder. Harder than she ever had before.

Focus was vital. She needed that if she wanted to be able to think properly. She couldn’t let her mind fog up. The water was beginning to get tough to handle, but she had to keep working at it. Death wasn’t an option for her right now. Maybe later, but not now. Drowning would be one hell of an unpleasant way to die, and she wasn’t ready to handle that. If she was going to die, she’d much rather have something she could fight back against.
