The Green Path

Decaying oak trees wall this particular path of deteriorating nature. Somehow the massive trunks, overgrown branches, and leaves, flourish enough to prevent even the smallest of Runners from escaping through them. Even if there was an opening, however, gruesome noises of growls warn of straying from the trail. Does that promise to safety upon the path at least? Most certainly not. A plethora of petite cottages can be spotted in the distance, if vision can see past the thick weaving leaves above. The cottages appear to be of a varying in materials from straws, to sticks, to bricks. Still there’s surely no guarantee of what resides ahead.
