As the smoke swirled and danced into the whispering winds of district three. My eyes watched the twinkling stars as they shone lighting against their black canvas. My fingers twiddled and drummed against the fine wood of my pipe as the pot in my lungs swayed softly to the beat of my heart. Once again I let the smoke drizzle lightly away from my body as a small grin peaked at my mouth. It was these calm nights that I was at my happiest . Yet I still would never forget how much my father despised these actions. How could I? His words always left unfaltering crators in my being.
The night was still young as I began meandering back towards my home. All the lights of District three were beginning to flicker off as their owners nestled into their beds. It was this time of the day when Prism was at his pinnacle. While the others slept he flew, he soared, he was at ease. It was soft nights like this that made Prism feel that maybe his life wasn't worthless. That maybe he did have a point to the never ending beating of his wavering heart.
As his footsteps echoed and bounced off the stone walls of the district square Prism could swear that he heard the light sound of music. Although he might be higher than a hover craft at the moment, his curiosity still drove him towards the songs amusing beat. It had been a while since Prism last heard music considering how much his father despised it. Oh how Prism loathed the grip his father maintained upon him and his sister. It was utterly ridiculous. That's why he didn't listen.
As Prism turned the corner he noticed a small sliver of light leaking out of the dark from a slanting building. Cautiously Prism approached the door with his heart running nearly as quickly as his jumbled mind. Then as he pulled his face just close enough to the door he spotted a girl inside. She was messing with the music, creating it, and damn was she good. Prism was actually quite impressed by her actions. Not to mention she was hot as hell.
Taking a slow breath to calm himself down Prism slowly pulled the door open and entered the blaring light. Within moments the music wrapped itself around him sending shivers as the bass dropped. Prism could see the red haired girl clearly now and he smiled softly as he walked up beside her. Carefully he poked the girl so that he wouldn't startle her. "Nice music you are making here! I really like it!" He gave her a wink as he held out his hand in friendship. "The names Prism, you?"
