Name: Aba Paramatta
Age: 15
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 8
Appearance:
Aba Paramatta is small light skinned girl. If you were to see her silhouette you'd think she was a starving little girl. After all her skinny and long face seems to gesture that way. But that's not at all true. Aba is quite the athletic. Although she's not very good at sports, she can still do more than you'd expect her to be able to do in that petite frame of hers. She's not able to lift very much weight at all though, but she does have a very incredible talent to weave. She nimble hands that allow her to work quickly and efficiently when it comes to working a needle and thread.
Aba has long brown hair that goes down to a little ways past her shoulder blades. This hair is straight as a board and it helps to compliment her chocolate brown eyes. Her eyes are often the thing that make people want to get to know her. They convey such emotion behind them for such a young girl. Aba's skin is almost blemishless except for the birthmark that she likes to hide under her shirt. The marks look as if three claws had scraped along her stomach. Aba also has very pronounced shoulder blades. They stick out farther than most of her friends' do. These are often times to premise of some teasing, but they never end up in ridicule.
Personality:
Aba has always loved performing acts of kindness. She will always work longer than she needs to, just for the fun of it, or to make other people happier. She loves to make blankets in her free time and then deliver them to the poorest families in the District. Aba herself does not come from a particularly rich family, but she knows that there is always someone less fortunate than she, and she is willing to go to any and all lengths to make that person feel better. Aba also loves her job, seamstress. She loves to sew and knit and crochet and any other form of making textiles there is. She just finds joy in clothing the people of Panem and not to mention she loves to feel of the cloths.
Aba is also an extremely sweet individual. She is always willing to help people, especially if they ask for it. She loves the feeling that putting a smile on someone else gives her. This probably comes from her lack of affection at home. Aba also loves to talk. Almost too much. She will ramble on about something until her listeners have glazed over eyes and dead expressions. This causes Aba to have extreme embarrassment.
Aba is a very self conscious person. She does not appreciate being ridiculed or disliked. She's also sensitive enough where it could make her cry. Also, Aba isn't the smartest person around. She is smart, but she can't hold anything higher than a B-, and even that is pretty good for her. Aba also loves being around people. She cannot stand being alone and will try as much as possible to be surrounded with family and/or friends.
History:
Aba comes from the poorer parts of District 8. Although her family is not poor, persay, but they are definitely not wealthy enough to call themselves middle class. The reason that her family went from middle class to lower class is that when Aba was a small child, around five years old, her father began cheating on her mother. Aba's father spent much money prostitutes and drugs until they were nearly out of money. This is when Aba's father decided to change his life and get a job to help with the income. Aba's mother stayed home to care for Aba, but she ended up just locking herself in her room and moping about her life. This left Aba to learn more things at a younger age. Although she definitely couldn't care for herself then, she is more equipped to do so now seeing as her parents, whenever they are home, lock themselves in their room and do not let Aba in.
This led Aba to treat everyone with the respect and affection that she wanted. Aba got a job at the local textile factory and helped to make the clothes. She would occasionally sneak some extra clothes out and dole them out to the poorest of the district. This made her feel like a better person as well as loved. Something that she always craves. She remembers one time when she gave an old man sitting in an alley a blanket. He clasped her hands and said, "Bless your soul." She felt like she did an amazing thing that day, which she did.
When Aba is bored she often goes to hang out with her friends. She has quite a lot of them, mostly because she refrains from cruelty as hard as she can. One particularly fun, but also a bit scary, time Aba had with her friends was when they were hanging out around the district a little bit before curfew. A Peacekeeper chased them all around District 8 until he lost them and the girls were able to sneak back to their houses unnoticed. These are the things that make Aba the happiest, when she bonds with people.
