The Radioactive Forest

    Mystery lies beyond the large wooden gate in the North. Frosted winds fly through its open doors summoning those brave enough to enter it. For those that answer the call of the North and venture into this passage they find themselves swiftly surrounded in vibrant colors of wild life. Trees and shrubs of all colors and growth erupt from the ground while seemingly bizarre green mist lies close to the snowy soil. Over head the sun's weak rays do little to warm the cold. Not to mention considering the condition of the wildlife one could only suspect radiation flows strongly in this forest. Yet just as all Maze's the forest forces the Runners forward while the gates of the center vanish behind them. There was no turning back now, the Maze had taken control.

Welcome Larceny, Auto, Lexa, and Prometheus!
As you selected you have entered the Northern Passage and have come across your first area in the Maze. A radiated forest teeming with bizarre lifeforms, including the ones you will soon be fighting. Also please note the rest of your Maze Running journey will take place entirely in this board. Only will you be permitted to post in a new thread for the following reasons: Death Posts/Threads and/or the Final Hallway{Maze Makers will start this one}.

Task Number One
You enter a small clearing within the large forest and are ambushed by Grievers! 2 Snow Devils and a Warped Arachnid challenge your lives. Good luck Runners and may the odds be ever in your favor!

The Snow Devils

    Magnolia's hands trembled as the coffee beside her working area shook with her. Across the large room fingers rapidly tapped against screens and voices rose with statistics. Three years, Magnolia had been a Maze Maker for three years. Over her tenure she had been happy keep logs on the Runners' statuses but now she had been selected by one of the Head Maze Makers for so much more. At her finger tips the control of two Snow Devil Grievers were flashing upon her glass digital screen. Magnolia's heart was racing as she methodically made them erupt from snowy foliage around the pack of Runners. Sensors flashed as the beginning of her fight was detected by the monitors. Swift uneven breaths controlled Magnolia as she launched her Grievers' first attacks. She had to impress the other Maze Makers. It was her first chance, and well hopefully not her last.

Warped Arachnid 

Words flung in a frenzy around Nemesis as he quickly worked upon his digital space. On the screen he could see Magnolia's Snow Devils speeding through the brush with his precious Warped Arachnid. As a geneticist who had been a leading Griever scientist for years he knew all to well how to control Grievers unlike poor Magnolia. Each of Nemesis' movements were light and easy as he made the Arachnid burst out from the trees above the Runners. Nemesis had a job to do, a job he took pride in. And he sure as hell wouldn't let a rookie like Magnolia show him and his creations up.

Larceny Theft
District Three Male

    Daylight replaces moonlight as the shackles of slumber fade into the sight of freshly fallen snow. Chills litter my body as I stiffly move with Auto and our new allies out of the Maze's Center. As our shadows trace our steps out into the Maze our breathes form mist in the air. Behind me lies the truth that four people had already died from my actions. Looming before me is the truth I have to do it again and again until I finally sit upon a throne with the world vying for my attention. Each life I take is just a jewl added to my crown. In this place I have no rules to regulate my actions. If I want to steal I can steal, if I want to do anything I can. No Sentinels trying to throw me to the ground and no people screaming for help as I run away with their loot. Back home my family is watching Auto and their watching me to see how well they raised us, how well they taught us. The art of stealing is the Theft family's life line. From the beginning we have stolen and we have scammed. So in here where the real world doesn't mean anything its too easy to find my way around.

    The icy steel tip of my bloodied spear pokes in and out of the snow like a cane as I walk by Auto's side. For the most part our travel through this weird as hell forest is undisturbed and silent. Lexa and her friend Prometheus remain silent as well, at least until I watch as Grievers surround us from all fronts. Within the walls of my chest my heart flutters as Auto screeches in pain. My twin is in danger, danger I have to defend her from because aside from stealing our family has one rule. Take care of our own.

Auto Theft ~ District Three 

Unpleasant Creatures gruesomely creep upon our venturing path. Instantly I strive closer to my Brothers side. Sure two other intimidating threats shadow us with potential protection, but it's his security I flee towards. They didn't slaughter four opponents as he did. It's his safety I solely seek. And even as an unsuspecting danger strikes me from behind, I don't budge from his side. It's always been us, it will always be us. Which is exactly why it's his weapon that fires first for revenge, and sends the sickening, crafted snow flakes shattering. And just as I've been attempting to strive for my entire existence, I follow his path with a swing of my own speer.

Lexa Trikru ~ District Seven 

The reason for this team is a confusing explanation. Why I'm straying through this maze with two Rugrats, and another from a lower District, is beyond my full comprehension. Certainly they've each proven their worth, especially the Boy, but this Maze could be taken solo... With a house crammed with misfit children at Home, a break should be worshipped at this moment; that is until a threat unravels before our toes. The spider aims for me with no success, but she's not my concern. The Tykes are being targeted, and I will not stand for such. My focus spites the one craving my flesh, and towards the unjustifiable snow monsters attacking the Youngsters.

Prometheus Salon ~ District Nine 

The silence screams upon the surroundings of our environment. Such similarities to my babies at Home reflect from each of my new companions, yet no words vocalize from my lungs to illustrate this. It's a sense of heavy awkwardness that energies our stroll for a hopeful future. Will there be one? With only personal wonder roaming through my thoughts, the wait for answers is endless. Then finally our judges breaches a welcoming, and I despise my desire to further this adventure. Can we go back the elongated wait? When the Opponents strike at the little Ones, and another misses on Lexa, the pause has clearly been lifted. It's time to defend my infant, unformed family.

    A screech of pure terror relinquishes itself from Magnolia's throat as she witnessed the Runners tear into one of her first chances. All the vitals on her screen began to plummet faster than her fingers could react. Then in a matter of mere moments R2-D2's systems went complete offline leaving her with only one Griever remaining. Magnolia's body was shuddering harshly as she could feel unsatisfied looks being thrown in her direction. Tears begin to well within Magnolia's eyes but she refuses to let them fall. She still had C3-PO within her control, although half operational. Magnolia had been given this huge opportunity and she was blowing it. The chance to prove herself was slipping like sand through her fidgeting fingers. She had one more chance to get this right so she wasted no time in calibrating C3-PO's next attack.

Warped Arachnid 

    Anger rushes like blood through Nemesis' veins as his fists slam against his metal table. On the screen Prometheus swiftly doges his aerial assault leaving him with less than an acceptable opening move. Whispers circulate around him as the new girl at least manages to deal damage to her targets. However, Nemesis at least still had complete control of his creation's health meters where Magnolia's parameters were falling fast. Still, Nemesis knew he had to make a statement after such a careless blunder. So as perfectly as he could he worked his creation into its striking position. This time Nemesis refused to miss his mark.

District Three Male

    Excitement ignites within the hollow of my bones as I see the first of our problems crumble to the icy ground. To my left I then see another very welcome sight as Prometheus drives her blade deeply into the snowy flesh of one of the other Grievers. My hands begin to fidget as I anticipate the next assault yet no damage comes my way. Instead blood is sent spiraling down Prometheus in rivers and  I know there is no time to waste. As swift as a shadow can move I dive towards one of the remaining threats. It was time for more jewels to be collected for my crown.

Finally an enemy decays at my expense. A grin instantly glides towards my Brother. Sure he's merely a few minutes older, but it takes me a bit longer to catch up...and eventually I always do. But there's no time to gloat in my accomplishments, as more threats continue to very much linger. They strive for a new Target, and solely her as well. It's a pristine time to escape from the torment, except that's not how we were raised. It's stealing, and protecting our kind...and hopefully I can do that some more.

Then suddenly it all shifted, and the attacks direct towards the one I'm familiar with the least. With the attention upon her, perhaps we could all flourish to safety...but that's not within my personality. Instinctively my weapons begins bouncing, prepared to swing in the direction of our entire Group's threat. The more armed we have upon our side, the better the odds. Now it's time to fight for what I need.

Prometheus Salon ~ District Nine 

Once was untouchable, now changes as my exterior is targeted beyond limit. Both of the lasting Grievers aim towards me and there's no debating their actions. But fortunately my Team doesn't flee, but rather aids to my defense. Gratitude consumes me as I follow in their path. Wounds may conspire me, while adrenaline still fuels me. My Axe strives for height, and swings immediately afterwards.

Warped Arachnid 

    Sounds of success greeted Nemesis' ears as a smile encroached over his cheeks. Both Magnolia and himself had landed brilliant attacks upon their prey, yet even Nemesis had to admit her attack far surpassed his own. However, his moment of anger licked envy faded to panic as he watched her monitors drop rapidly to flat line. Her Grievers had been vanquished and Nemesis knew all too well his own beautiful demon would be the Runners' next area of attention. Focus fueled by adrenaline took control of Nemesis' fingers as he calculated his next, and very possibly, final attack. He had to leave a reminder of his power and of his brilliance. All of Panem had to know of his skills as a Maze Maker, there was no room for error in this critical final stance. It was now or never and now was much more appealing.

    The wicked wrath of the demonic onslaught as our second predator finds its heart frozen in silence. Life had been drained from two horrors yet the third still spun and spindled as blood skittered in its wake. Death daunted Prometheus as the blinding lights of the world beyond surely christened the irises of her eyes. Larceny could feel the weight of his blood stained spear within the gravity of his palms. Around him a world with foes flashed but he had the weapon to obliterate them. To sneak within the shadows of suppression and shed away the shackles of poverty through an art of thievery. Golden woven halls and songs of a brilliant tomorrow beamed in Larceny's future, a future he would make certain. So as the shadows swayed and the night growled in the form of death he slipped through the snow spear glinting in the low waving light of the sun.

With a death marking my Speer, I grave for even further satisfaction. At this very moment it's about the damage I can evoke, and not the future of this Maze...it probably should be though. But with so many accomplishments embracing Larceny's status, I must strive to compare. Only one more dares to cross our raft, and I'm determined to distribute it's consequences. My weapon bounces with anticipation, and takes a clean swing towards the sole target.
