As if never straying from the Center of the Maze; identical Cabins from the day before continue down your path, evoking undesirable and pleasant memories of yesterday upon each of you that stagger into this direction. An abandoned Village is discovered beneath your snowy foot prints. Has the Capitol constructed the Maze upon a post-appocoliptic Panem? Does solely emptiness furniture the Houses as they did in ones you occupied earlier? Only time will tell...or perhaps not, as danger lurks upon every path. 

Welcome Lightning, Chaos, Ava, and Hachiro!
As you selected you have entered the Western Passage and have come across your first area in the Maze. An abandoned snow village with mysterious lifeforms, including the ones you will soon be fighting. Also please note the rest of your Maze Running journey will take place entirely in this board. Only will you be permitted to post in a new thread for the following reasons: Death Posts/Threads and/or the Final Hallway{Maze Makers will start this one}.

Task Number One
You enter the village within the snowy hills and are ambushed by Grievers! 3 Tundra Wolves who challenge your lives. Good luck Runners and may the odds be ever in your favor!

In a secure pack of three, the wolves rampage in a journey towards their mission. The targets selected consumes each of their senses. And the hunger for the specific Runners drools from their snouts. Large paw prints are left in their sudden wake, as they race for their prey. There is no escaping this Maze without their Creators acceptance, and currently they're demanding otherwise. Starvation for approval continues to fuel them. The second their targets are settled, they spring in attack to satisfy their Masters.

Disappointment continues to plague me as I'm passed from one person to the next on our journey. With two missing limbs, energy depletes from my existence faster then my heart can replenish. How long will I last with the selfless assistance of my Brother and the District Elevens? As they dispatch me from each other more frequently, I'm presuming the time is dwindling. Annoyance ruptures past each of our tones, while even I am disgraced by my position. And when a threat greets us from the distance, I assume my demise is raiding towards us. 

Claws impair each of my allies, my Brother included. "Oh no you fracken didn't." I test, while desire for revenge steams from my ears. Any amount of damage can't refrain me from protecting Lightning. And without a second though, I'm instinctively swinging my weapon towards our opponents.

    Pure elation ripples through my veins as I once again wrap my sister within my arms. Hearing the canons fire and knowing her life was possible over was a burden far to heavy to carry. Thankfully my worst nightmares are sent falling to the ocean floor with her back in my protection. However, it isn't just out of luck I learn when I discover the girl from Eleven is to thanks for my sister's safe keeping. A sudden surge of debt overwhelms me and the choice to assist the Elevens from this point onward cannot be denied. So when morning sends them walking into the Maze, I walk beside them with Chaos still hanging tightly to my own vice grip. 

     Not long into our travels through the Western Gate we enter a village nearly identical to the center, only it seems even more broken down. More... wild. With a serious shock of sudden pain I am sent slamming into a nearby wall. A wail of horror escapes my lips as the hungry Griever claims my arm as his own. So many words cluster my mind but only the will to survive fuels my actions. "Get the hell away from us!" I scream as I dive towards the demonic wolf responsible for my dis-attached limb.

Ava Washington ~ District Eleven 

The company of my new team is something to be proud of; the District Fours, a career pack of siblings. Sure one may be missing two limbs, but it's still an accomplishment. With their training, the odds of overpowering this Maze raises. So generously I carry the crippled Blonde upon my back. If anything Mrs. Snow's jealousy will breach us from this Maze sooner. A confident stroll journeys my legs, despite the physical weight upon my spine. This travel will be conquered... 

Then suddenly an obstacle obscures our path. Three wolves craving demise rampage towards us with certain intentions. Swiftly my weapon rises in defense, prepared to protect the team I've struggled to capture. After the gruesome battle of the start, it will not end here for any of us. One gashes at my arm, but the other that has taken the target captures my focus first. Might as well take a single threat out at a time. And without hesitation my knife fires.

    What I believe is morning comes quickly as very slight warmth pierces through the dark. To my side Ava walks but I can feel hesitation lingering within each of her steps. Curiosity forms within the sanctions of my mind as I come to a stop in the snow. "So are you going to tell me who it is you seem to be waiting for?" My voice says soft but serious all the same. However, my question does not remain dangling within the frozen air for long when I hear two steps of footsteps approaching us. Instinctively my hand wraps around the grip of my sword only to have Ava's stopping me from drawing it. In response I nearly shove her to the snow until the strangers are revealed as the District Four siblings. Naturally my eye brows furrow as to why they would want to work with us, but I don't question their motives. Of course I will maintain close ears on them yet their support does greatly aid us for the struggles ahead. I would be a fool to turn away two careers. 

    Shortly after our departure from the center of the Maze the sound of creaking wood breaches my ears. Bizarre, I think before my thoughts are interrupted by a new sound. Panting mixed with rapid footsteps brings my sword quickly into my hand and my voice into the air. "We have company!" I screech all too late as the first onslaught leaves me and surely my allies bleeding. However, I spend little time thinking before I leap in to strike. We were up against grievers, and if I knew anything about Grivers it was that they had to be put down swiftly.

A harsh howl of a whimper coos through the Maze as the first Wolf crumbles to it's demise. Instinctively the lasting two snarling snouts snap in the direction of their fallen comrade. Death was not a description within their Orders, not even the possibility. There's a dire incentive to retreat to their decaying partner, yet revenge must be given first. Threatening growls spit from their fangs, as craving eyes carve deep into their enemies...then their claws follow suit.

Desperate, disappointed eyes stare upon the blade of my Speer. So little blood coats the reflection of the shiny weapon, failing to resemble any of my Training. Have I never contained the chance for success in this annual event? Have I wasted countless of days in the gym, and potentially my existence? And most importantly... am I risking my Brother's survival? Agony plagues me, but currently this is far from a position to cave in my self pity. Another gash wounds my exterior, but I will solely be slaughtered while simultaneously protecting my family. So again, my attacks fire.

    A whine filled with pure pain fills the snowy air as scarlet burns among the ice. The first of the beasts finds its end on the edge of Hachiro's sword, and I have to admit I am impressed. When I first agreed to my sister's decision to ally with the Elevens I was worried for Hachiro's abilities. Yet now I am confident in his skills despite what many would see as his blinding disadvantage. However, my praises are cut short by the sight of Chaos' blood spilling into the white world. Anger and determination fuel my movements as I race towards her attacker. "Get the hell away from my sister!" I scream as I bring my sword down upon the unworthy wolf vermin.

The Wolves are relentless with their revenge upon us for instantly demolishing one from their pack. The second slashes already decaying Chaos, and the third misses my path. A clever twirl graces my foot movement, as I glide past the latter Wolf's scratch...where as Chaos was not as successful. Her time in dwindling, and my attention turns to her opponent with this fact. Sure Mrs. Snow may appease my senses more, but currently Chaos is in need of my assistance. While in the Maze, I must start focusing on the company currently surrounding me. We must all survive for my horny, guilty-free spirit to return to my Love.

    As every second passes the sound of more scarlet spilling and growing silence brings me to realize more of the grievers were dying. Which also meant with every passing second safety was becoming more of a possibility. So far the Maze had contained nothing but demons dancing in the shadows. In fact, aside from sleeping I am nearly certain every second awake has been spent fighting for survival. However, at least it hides the thought of death for in fights no one thinks of losing. Everyone wants to win, myself included. It is due to this simple drive for survival that I lift my sword again from the shadows to slay a demon from another world other than the one I know.

A lone Wolf remains. The whimpers of its depleted family members have seized from the Maze. Survival instincts urge to flee while the opportunity still lingers, but the Capitol commands direct otherwise. A vicious snarl warns the enemies, while the odds are not in this Griever's favor. Has the Capitol been disappointed? Have the others died in vain? With the battle striving onward, answers have yet to be met. The outcome is nearly certain, though the journey there is still unwritten. Claws embark in attempt to sketch the story in the last Wolf's favor.

A single Wolf continues to linger with its breath. But thus far, we have not succumbed to the Grievers', and Capitol's, desire to see us dwindle. Weapons combat against the furry Creatures, and the result is evidently in our preference. There's no telling what the future, unexplored parts of the maze contain. But the chances of witnessing tomorrow's day is appearing bright for all of us in this alliance. Even as another gash occupies Ava's shoulders, it's not too extremely severe. I must fight for this continues, which is exactly what my weapon does next.

    A wicked whine brings forth news of another fallen foe. To my right my sister stands as strongly as she can but I know pain fills her body. All our lives she has pretended to be strong in the sullen face of damnation. In a way, Chaos is the strongest person I know, in another, she is the biggest fool I have ever met as well. Her strength makes her blind to her health in dire situations. Her strength makes her ignore her own burdens to carry those of my own and our family's. My sister is no saint, but she sure as hell is better than one in my eyes. So as I stand here with her bleeding I don't feel my own blood dripping into the snow. I don't notice the horror in the back of my mind, all I see is her and the demon that did this to her. So when its final snarl fills the air my sword is swinging to answer it.

A thick, razor-sharp, claw carves across my shoulder and forces a loud yelp to seep past my lips. Why must obstacles be set in the way of this already vicious, broadcasting Maze? Blood leaks from nearly all of us, though we're far from caving under their desires. I thought Ms. Snow held my best wishes? Or perhaps she only craves for something to heal at my return. Either way, I must strive for survival. Only one lingers at this hurdle, and its collapse is so evident. I must finish what craves to end me.
