The Snow Valley

    Forrest gives way to snow as you all begin a long tread downward. From an area filled with life and light you now find yourselves within one of just... snow. As far as the eye can see there is nothing more than sloping snow hills leading down into a sort of valley. Due to this, each of you notice that walking grows harder and harder with every step you take into deeper snow. Whatever this place is, it certainly has not been walked upon in quite a while.

Welcome Larceny, Auto, Lexa, and Prometheus!
As you selected you have entered the Northern Passage and have come across your secobd area in the Maze. A snowy valley seemingly deserted... Also please note the rest of your Maze Running journey will take place entirely in this board. Only will you be permitted to post in a new thread for the following reasons: Death Posts/Threads and/or the Final Hallway{Maze Makers will start this one}.

Task Number One
You reach the center of the depression and now waist deep in snow you notice a mist rolling down the snowy slopes. Instinctively you all draw your weapons, and it seems your instincts are right. From out of the snow three hauntingly family faces walk calmly upon the top of the snowy ground. Each of them are exactly as you remember them, they even carry their final weapons. 3 Phantom Faces wish to bring death upon you! Fight and prove to them the living do not need to become ones with the dead.

Sienna Rowan
Familiar Phantom of District Five

    Tears no longer escape the young girl's eyes for her aging had been ceased. Her heart no longer beating for her to protect. For a while sleep had been her escape from a ghastly game, yet now she was awakened for a different reason. Now Sienna was one of the oppressors of the ones controlling the bloodshed. One of the people who sent her to her death in the first place. Yet deep down Sienna knew these visions to be false and entirely riddled with Capitol tricks. Sienna Rowan was dead. That young little girl would never return to the world of the living. What this Sienna was, was a Capitol made monster with its memory altered to be like Sienna in every aspect. The only difference is this Sienna was aggressive. The knife in her hand almost too easily struck out towards the group of living Runners who had stolen her place among life.

Rayne Esther
Familiar Phantom of District Seven

    Fuck! The pain that sears Rayne's nerves is unimaginable. Voices waft around him like whispers of the devil while fear digs its claws deep into his chest. What feels like eternity passes before Rayne is even able to squint his eyes open. All around him men and women in lab coats dart back and forth like mice plunging things into his body along with two others. The moment one of them spots Rayne awake they begin to test his reflexes along with his motor controls. They ask him question after question and finally when they are finished allow him to stand and get changed back into his old Runner uniform. Oh hell no. Anger exploded from Rayne as he screams and tries to break free from his captors. He had somehow gotten out of the Maze and he refused to be returned to it. However, amidst the fighting his body freezes at the sound of some far off voice. Then comes Rayne's answer.

    "Stop struggling Rayne Esther is dead." 

    It didn't make sense, how could Rayne be dead when he felt alive. Its then he learns the truth as someone opens his leg to reveal foreign circuitry. Rayne wasn't Rayne, he was a Griever designed to be exactly like him. After that giving in to orders became to easy. Rayne obeyed every word as he led his band of revived false Runners back into the Maze. The mist around them kept them concealed as they traversed the snowy lands. Then finally when they arrived Rayne issued their assault all while his eyes stayed locked upon the body of Lexa Trikru. It was time for her to know real pain just as Rayne's masters wanted her to. 

    "You failed me Lexa, you couldn't save me! Now you won't even be able to save yourself!" Rayne screamed as he launched himself towards her.

    There was no surprise and no shock the Capitol brought me back. Undoubtedly they were using me to hurt Peter or my sister if they were even still alive. Despite all we ever stood for I became what we never wanted, a piece in their Maze. Quite literally now considering I have an arrow within my bow ready to fire upon the still living. My opportunity at survival was vanquished like a flame. Now all I had to do was take theirs as well. For my sister. For Peter.

Larceny Theft
District Three Male

    Snow settles as dust around my feet as I scuttle along the icy forest floor. Not far behind me I hear the crackling of pine leaves signifying my allies. Off to my right my sister, my twin, remains highly silent. It would seem over the course of the last two days death has driven a wedge into both of our minds. For me, I know I look at each death as a successful event to stealing a crown. For her, I can only wonder what lies within the sanctions of her mind. At one point I would be able to know by just looking at her, yet now it all seems so different. As though in this world we are not even twins at all. That we never shared the life we had before the tubes rose us into this frozen fight. I can only hold onto the belief that one day we can return to the life we had as twins unbreakablely bonded. 

    My thoughts are stolen away by the approach of mist and the haunting figures it carriers veiled within it. I can actually feel goose bumps trickling across my skin as I watch the familiar faces strike out at Lexa and Prometheus. They should be dead, I killed Rayne with my own spear. I watched Catherine get slaughtered before the fray. I saw Sienna get stabbed through her heart with the tip of my spear. I killed them both, Rayne and Sienna. They should be dead. They were going to be dead again soon enough.

The dead have returned. Damn you Capitol & Mazemakers. Two that were demolished by my twin himself strive to our presents. Yet they don't seek for revenge in his blood. No, rather they strike for our allies and refrain from even touching either of us. Well that's at least one less burden to worry over. Of course I prefer for their safety, but still my Brother & I come first. With fret over our backs clear, I intensely concentrate on Larceny's target.

"Rayne?" I call out for in a load of confusion. How could it be? He died. And that he did, as I finally correlate that what stands ahead of me is far from the man I once knew. He spits out words of accusations and disapproval, when I held no power in his fate. The true Rayne would have understood that, not encourage guilt upon my already quivering heart. A scratch no longer marks his pristine body. And the Capitol failed with his free-willed spirit. "You are not Rayne. I'm sorry I couldn't stop them from doing this to you." But I could end their manipulation over him...or not, as my weapon refuses to budge in his direction. I don't wish to witness him crumble again, I can't. My attention and determination for death directs elsewhere.

"Really? The rise of the dead?" She criticizes in a rumbling whisper. And of course the smallest of the three strives for her. How is she possibly going to crumble this Youngster, when she reflects all the little ones Prometheus cares for? Hoping that the Rascal doesn't have much in her, just as she was before, Prometheus strives for a larger target first. "I'll tuck your soulless life into your coffin in a minute Rugrat." She assures, and aims towards the two solely attacking Lexa.

    The dangerous dance begins as my body moves lightly within the scarlet snow. Blood bleeds from countless wounds and my intentions to inflict more are clear. Inside my head voices whisper words of war and I am all too compelled to answer them. Even in death I share a quality I had in life. The quality to be forced into doing things I did not wish to do. To fall short of standing up for myself. Now, just as before, I am nothing more than the Maze Makers' puppet. And as they pull my strings I let my knife return to the Runner from Nine's skin.

    Our secrecy shatters as the mirage of our lives is revealed. Lexa holds herself so much higher than myself but she is less than me. She believes truly she couldn't have stopped my real self's fate, but she could have. She is strong, but all the soldiers in an army eventually fall. Lexa was no exception, no matter how highly she ranks herself. With a sudden movement I dive towards her once again as my words rise above the wasted world. "Your apologies are weak, just like you. Join me in oblivion."

    Pawns of a false authority slash at my false skin but I remain a statue to their swords. My time has already failed as though I was a mockingbird in flight. All I stood for already burnt to dust and now my arrows fly for no purpose. Snow has me just as she always wanted, she knew I stood a chance so she had me slaughtered. My death is on her hands, just as the one I will surely have coming soon with each arrow I send spinning into the fray.

    Broken bones crackle through the snowy stalemate as blood bubbles down the length of my spear. The end game was swiftly approaching and my senses are higher than ever before. I keep Auto in my sights as I am determined to preserve our longevity for as long as possible. As twins we are bonded, but as thieves we are essential to one another's survival. One watches while the other strikes in a piston system practically unstoppable. So when a moment presents itself I have faith in her eyes watching over me. I feel my spear slither through the snow and towards my prey. Another gem was to be captured for a crown waiting to be placed upon my head.

"Stop stealing all the kills." I tease to Larceny, and even stick a tongue out at him. With the targets still off our backs, this is quite a humorous task. And with Larceny murdering as he always does, perhaps our fellow teammates will take this obstacle with ease as well. Though to truly relieve our alliance's fate, these Runners revised as Grievers must parish. The smallest one pears as no threat, but still she must be eliminated. Once again my spear aims and strikes.

This isn't Rayne, it can't be. His words dig harshly just as they always have, but I have to continuously remind myself that it's not my partner from home...he died a while ago. And though I had no ability to save him then; I will do all in my power to establish that this is not him. "I will soon enough...but not now." And with that, the Kid from three destroys the facade image of my Rayne. "Thanks." I give a weakened smile to Larceny, despite the fact that he was the one to end Rayne in the first place. But my deer is in a better place now, and not within this hell hole. Now to release the others from this demonic performance the maze-makers have crafted.

The attack turn towards me, and the outcome is unknown. Will this little twerp of a living dead demolish me with a couple of scratches? Soon to be revealed. But for now, I will battle with the full health I'm determined to pertain. Until my very last breath, I will fight for the tiny warriors beside me. Perhaps I won't make it, but assuring the survival of a couple more Rugrats would be worth it. My axe swings again at the canon from twelve.
