Inner Ice Maze
Finally you gain freedom from the never ending stream of haunting cabins. Except now perhaps you wish that you hadn't. As you reach the end of the route you have chosen a heavy fog fills the area. At first you attempt to hold onto your allies for dear life, but it is all in vain. Soon rampant snow winds drive you all apart and force you into the only place for shelter. An interior ice maze, one in which if you ever wish to see your allies again, you will have to make it out alive of.

As you selected you have entered the Western Passage and have come across your second area in the Maze. An inner ice maze with deadly twists and turns to undertake. Also please note the rest of your Maze Running journey will take place entirely in this board. Only will you be permitted to post in a new thread for the following reasons: Death Posts/Threads and/or the Final Hallway{Maze Makers will start this one}.

Task Number One

Find the exit of the Maze and survive!
First choice: Left or Right.

Left Direction: This hall is long and quiet, almost too quiet. So as you travel down its icy length you stay especially alert. That's when you discover the ground beginning to give way beneath you to a pit of sharpened stalagmites. Please make a post and roll the dice given at the end as well as making a selection out of the directional options given. If you die however please note the direction will not be taken.

    Soft songs of spirits reach my ears but do not heed a change in my course. Within my arms I guide Chaos along the trail we have all chosen. Snow spits from incoming mists but I refuse to relinquish my grip on my sister. For our entire lives we have kept each other close, kept each other safe from the horrors which searched to destroy us. Now within the bloom of death once more I keep her close with all my might as I will the darkness back towards the light. However, my will and strength do not win the war for after reaching the apex of the snow's assault she slips from my fingers leaving me blinded in the snow. Her name continues to fling from my tongue but its no use, she is lost within the fray as I soon find myself as well. Luckily I find shelter within the walls of an icy maze. Sadly my luck does not hold strong for I find myself sprinting to avoid falling to certain pain. Chaos was out here somewhere, and I am determined to do whatever it takes to find her and bring her back to my protection.

    Pain pulsates from my arm as I tumble to the chilling ground below. Blood bubbles from my freshly earned wound but I don't let it slow me down. Moments later I am out of the caved in floor heading down yet another hall of ice. In my head only images of Chaos flash and flicker like the flames of a fire. Somewhere trapped within these same walls she was undergoing trials as hard, if not harder than my own. Already her body had been beaten and something like this could be enough to break it once and for all. An option I refuse to let even reside within the thought of existence. Chaos kept me alive through the most perilous storms, and now I would return the favor to her. We were both careers but we both knew I was the stronger one. The one who spent his years doing nothing but training when I had the time. Nothing but preparing for the worst case scenario, this scenario. Now here they both were trapped inside hell together and I had let her slip from my eyes. Not for long, I will reunite us breathing and hearts still beating. Any obstacle that is thrown my way I am determined to survive. For Chaos, I have to.

By now blood is dripping upon the ground below you with every step you take, yet you are determined to see yourself survive. However, before you get the chance to reminisce on the thought of victory various sections of the walls begin to slam together and then retract on a pattern. It would seem if you want to survive this hallway its all about timing. Please make a post and roll the dice given at the end as well as making a selection out of the directional options given. If you die however please note the direction will not be taken.

    Frosted air flies past me as I narrowly avoid the walls crumbling over me like a tsunami. Chills twitch through my nervous system as I rub my freezing hands rapidly together. Inside my mouth my teeth grind gritted against one another while my tongue lies still and frozen like the walls around me. My foot steps echo down the seemingly dead corridor but I refuse to let my senses fail for even a millisecond. One mistake in a place as deadly as this and I am certain death lies waiting. Sure enough I am granted the horrid satisfaction of being correct as two sections of the hall's walls begin to slam back and forth together. Thankfully I spent many of my days back in Four focused upon timing training, yet one lesson stands out above them all. It only takes one missed time to die, one time I can't afford to fall to. With every hall I make it through the closer to Chaos I become. The closer to being able to protect her again. The closer we each become to leaving the Maze together as Victor siblings. A future I will forge from the ice with my own frost bitten hands.

Straight Direction: Upon narrowly avoiding death once again you enter a tighter and short passageway. Yet as you soon discover several steps in, just as deadly. Two incredibly sharp thin circles of ice begin to roll down the passageway. You have no choice but to attempt to avoid them or rick severe damage! Please make a post and roll the dice given at the end as well as making a selection out of the directional options given. If you die however please note the direction will not be taken.

    My mixture of luck and skill prove to work well on the first set of slamming walls as I dive through them unscathed. However, on the second section my timing proves just shy of fatal leaving my left arm crushed between the two massive slabs of ice. Pain explodes through my from the impact as a cry of horror erupts in response. Along with the sheer pain I feel comes the sheer anger I also feel towards myself. Although not incredibly important, being pathetic enough to allow a whole arm of mine to become crushed and useless leaves me steaming. Still, I don't waste time wrapping my arm in a clothing splint. At least this way some blood circulation will leak all the way down to my fingers making the arm repairable if I survive the larger Maze. However, my self loathing ebbs away as my focus returns to Chaos who I can only pray still carries a beating heart within her chest. Every obstacle I face I envision her doing the same and it makes me sicker than a dog. I need to find Chaos, I have to, I will.

Right Direction: Upon narrowly being slammed into a pancake you make it out of the hall and on to one where you can see light shimmering at its end. Indeed the end is near, however, as you push yourself to escape on to freedom a trip wire sends you falling to the ground. By triggering the wire icicles begin to explode from the walls. Time to run, yet as you grow closer to the end a pit with fire burning at its bottom awaits you. You know you have to jump, but the question is will you make it?

    A new found sense of urgency ripples through my muscles as I begin to run down the hall and away from the slicing circles of ice. Luckily I was able to position myself just perfectly between them to avoid their sheer damaging blows. But since seeing them I now know I have to see Chaos, have to confirm she is alright. All of my life she has been there, from the day I was born she was watching over me. And somehow I know she still is now, that just like me she must have her mind on where I am. We were connected like that, so worried on one another we lose track of ourselves. Hell, I realize I am doing it up until I see the icicles begin to burst from the walls forcing me towards the flame lit gorge. My chance to find and save my sister is only one hall away, and I will do whatever is necessary to make it to her. Hold on Chaos, I think to myself as I take off sprinting down the hall, I'm coming to get you.
