    Fire flickers from the tender tips of my painted nails. Color christens the air in breathtaking beauty as I strut through the center of the stage. Attached to my skin symbols flicker in flames upon my light lit dress. High heels hold me higher than the world of wicked wrenches which wriggle beneath the bend of the stage's end. A single spotlight surrounds me, I smile. "Welcome all of you to the Capitol's famous performance hall, the Golden Snow Globe! It's with pristine pleasure that I may welcome you all to my show this evening. As you all know the assortment of exotic Grievers used in this show are among the most rare in the world. I hope you all find yourselves riveted by the danger and the delight. May the show begin!" Cheers implode from my final words and I am returned into the dark as I vanish behind a nearby curtain. Behind me I hear the Grievers and performers released and instant screams shake the safe sea of humans. Got em. 

    By the time my changing room door slams shut my fire is forgotten specs. Sleekfully I slip from the spindles of my dress and remove my powerful head piece. I refuse to stay bare long before wrapping a winter robe around my perfected body. Lights illuminate my desk as I slump into my chair and pull a cigarette from their specified case. I snap my nails sparking the sweet sorrows of the tobacco and inhale deeply. Relief relishes within my chest before I release it once more. On a monitor I watch the current show and hiss in distaste as one of my newest recruits loses her head to a wild old Griever I was just considering to retire. "Fucking figures, now I can't retire it and I am down a cast member." 

    A sigh serenades the room from me as I turn and face myself in the mirror. As always icy irises lacking a soul stare back at me. My brilliantly brightened red hair fabulously frames my intricately designed make up face. Every piece of my body was spent being perfected for hours on end that even the slightest dissatisfaction would be unacceptable. Ever since a young age I have pruned myself on perfection, being a perfectionist was just my nature. Acquiring attention naturally blossomed from such a demonic desires, due to this I never allow myself to be out glamoured in any sense of the phrase. 

    As I sit gazing into the glinting glass I gleam at the pockets of memories which burble up from my past. I recall the day I quit school despite my parents' cries and joined a circus along with my first feeble Griever. Before long the audience was so taken up by my act of danger more Grievers were added. Eventually the show was controlled entirely by myself and my performances, everyone awed in adoration at my grace and power in the pits of the performances. I was crowned a queen, and since then I have only expanded my empire entirely engulfing the nation in my flames. 

    A knock cracks away the creeping memories and brings me crawling back to reality as I turn to the opening dressing room door. I lift my cigarette to my mouth as I raise an eyebrow to the only other more powerful woman in the nation aside from myself. I exhale. "Why the hell is the President of Panem in my dressing room precisely?" I question as I hold a cigarette out from one esteemed Empress to another. She accepts my gift and allows my nails to snap a spark for her before she speaks through the smoke. "I have an offer for you. An offer I think a woman such as yourself would find incredibly appealing." A smirk sneaks across my face. "Is that so? Alright then Madam President, enlighten me on this offer of your's." 

    Her words steal a sinister smile upon my lips. "The position of Head Maze Maker for the 46th Quell is available. I am well aware the most recent Maze has just ended, however, with this much time everything, including the Maze's theme, is up to you. I figured you would be the best at making one hell of show." I laugh as I slowly stand from my seated position. "I must say Madam, I have no option but to accept such a generous job. If its a show you want, than its a show you're going to get." She smiles with her eyes as wicked as any witch's, "Welcome on board then Head Maze Maker Hemishift. I look forward to your production."
