Alone I Wander // Kraygon Day Two

Mystery lies beyond the large ship wreckage and deep within the coral forest. Danger lurks within the darkness of the depths and at any moment something could appear from within the coral's branches. Yet still you swim on, you follow the path before you. Until finally you come across a clearing small with two opened passages one to the right and one to the left. Alas before you can act you are ambushed, but by what?!

Welcome Kraygon Parks!

As you selected you have entered the Purple Coral Forest and have come across your first area in the Maze. A a small purple coral clearing apparently teeming with bizarre lifeforms, including the one you will soon be fighting. Please not only will you be permitted to post in a new thread for the following reasons: Death Posts/Threads and/or the Final Hallway{Maze Makers will start this one}.

Task Number One
You enter a small clearing within the large and odd coral forest. Suddenly you are ambushed by a single Siren! Good luck Runner and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Isla the Siren

    Alone I wander lost within the groves of purple. Behind me Atlantis' golden gleam vanished out of sight and I feel free from the wicked's control. Ever since the beast has taken residency as the ruler of Atlantis freedom has become a fickle thing. The only reason I am allowed out is due to multiple reports of instances within the barrier forests. For all these years not a single thing has found its way to Atlantis aside from the ruler. Then I see one, a creature so odd my fascination is intriguing by his structure. Cautiously I watch him, confirm he is alone and begin to approach. I needed to learn why this being was here, why now? I strike to draw his attention my word stealing through the sea. "Why are you here?"

Fauna, why?

Why did she touch it? Why?

He'll never see her again, and now he's trapped beneath the ocean floor swimming around praying for some sort of miracle. His head throbbed, and his vision was blurry, and all he wanted as a friend. Yet Kraygon was greeted with nothing.

Through tear filled eyes, the boy moved forward. His hand tight around the trident. It was his lifeline. It was all he had to keep himself alive.

He swam through the small purple clearing, and he saw the thing he never wanted to see.

An ugly beast stood before him, and her voice was terrible. But he refused to speak. He was going to kill because he had to see his cousin again. He had to save her before it was too late. He screamed as he felt his toes leave his body, and he bathed in the pool of red.

The monster would pay.

    His silence slices deeper than his trident as it burrows into my chest. An aggravated scream escapes my lips at the insolence of such a bizarre being. Did he not understand that he was trespassing upon a sacred territory? Had he no idea of the horrors he would endure if he dared to continue on through the coral? Clearly he had no conscious for his silence was his worst mistake, a mistake I would reprimand with my own nails. All he needed to do was speak, or was it all I needed of him? Was there something more I require? I strike again with my voice speaking once more through the sea. "Answer now or you will have all of Atlantis to answer to!"

He felt alive for the very first time, but it was far from the truth. This beast wanted to kill him, it wanted to make him pay. To make it all worse, the ugly thing kept spewing words from its mouth. And all it did was make Kraygon angrier. Yet pain radiated throughout his entire body as the thing tried mauling him over and over.

"I came from my ma!" He spewed violently before hoisting the trident into the air again.

This wasn't for him. No, it was for Fauna.

    Anger blisters beneath the beast's skin, but even more his answer perplexes me. I try to think logically upon all the places of the seas but no where do I know of some where known as ma. He must be lying, liars are not tolerated within the gates of Atlantis. I have to act now as though he is a threat. I have to abide by the ruler's rules. I hiss viciously speaking swiftly, "We do accept liars in Atlantis, Ma is not a land I know of. Speak truthfully or join the ranks of the dead!"

Kraygon Parks | District Ten

Blood gushed from his wounds, and he wasn't sure how to fix it. They needed tending to, yet the dumb beast wouldn't leave him alone. It kept talking, and it called him a liar.

Kraygon Parks was no liar, and being called a liar was an insult. One of the worse things anyone can say to his face. Kraygon was smart, strong, funny. He knew what had to be done. This beast was a foolish beast.

Ma was his mother, and he was one up on this ugly thing, and he wasn't going to go back down. He chuckled slightly for only a moment until it scratch his arm. But the pain was nothing compared to before.

"I am not a liar." He hissed through gritted teeth trying to hide the pain drifting through his body.

He screamed at the top of his lungs before lunging forward as fast as he could trying to sound his battle cry. This was his moment. His fight. All that he needed.

He couldn't die now, and he couldn't lose. He had to win this fight. Otherwise this was all for nothing.

Isla the Siren

    The true danger of his threat becomes clear and certain to me as his trident cuts through my skull. Another scream seeps through the sea as my hands pull a horn from my sack. A single blow is all it takes to signal the entire ocean, all of Atlantis. We were under attack and the coral forests were being breached. I lay the horn away as I turn back to him, the monster. I wonder how many lurk within the barriers, but I force the thoughts away. I couldn't let him get through to the city. Atlantis was not his to see. I scream harshly at him as I strike. "How can I find truth in your words! I cannot allow you entrance into Atlantis! And now all of the Atlanteans know you are coming, you and your species! You have declared war with this trespassing!"

He could feel himself fading. The light was leaving his eyes as the hope to live slowly came crashing down. Nothing made sense. All that matters was surviving and finding Fauna. He had to protect her. He had to make sure she was safe. That nothing harmed her.

Yet he was failing.

The ugly thing didn't believe him, and it wanted him dead, but Kraygon didn't blame the thing because he wanted it dead too.

And he screamed as the razor sharp nails dug into his skull, and he screamed some more as blood gushed from the side of his head.

It was safe to say he was hard of 'earing now.

He was going to kill the thing for stealing him away. Even if it was the last thing he would do.

"For Fauna!" He cried out lifting the trident again. It was truly now or never.

    Suddenly his words hit Isla with pure sense and logistics, her hands fall from striking and her smirk slips across her face. "Fauna, you mean the one our defenses successfully captured? Too bad you have no idea where the girl is, I on the other hand no exactly where she is hidden." My hands raise again as the torture rings truthfully from my house. I move closer slowly preparing to strike. "If I die you never see her again, but then again you would never be able to reach where she is heading." I slice with the opportunity I have served.

The words infiltrated his mind. Tiny words wrapped around his brain. It knew where she was, and if he killed it, he would never find out. It hard to have been a trap. It would kill him if he didn't fight, and he knew that.

Fauna meant the world to him, and losing her was the worst thing that could possibly happen.

I have to kill it.

"Where is she?" He shouted louder than he meant to. He had to find her. To protect her. "Just tell me where she is!"

But anything they said could easily be a lie.

Finding his cousin was important. He wanted to make sure she was safe. Kraygon needed to bring her home alive. Nobody deserved the fate of the games, yet there he was swimming in a large body of water hoping for a miracle.

"I can't trust you." He sighed as he lifted the trident. "Even if I wanted to, I can't." Talking wouldn't work, and he had to fight, but it was the only answer to Fauna's whereabouts. And it killed him a little on the inside.

A silent tear rolled down the side of his face as he whispered a silent plea - I'll find you, Fauna. I promise.

And he lunged the trident forward. It was all he had left.

    A wicked laugh lifts from my lips as I spin within the salty sea I was raised in. "Fine don't believe me, but I promise you this without some kind of guide there is no chance of ever finding Fauna. Before we started fighting I had hope for you, hope you wouldn't be widdled from the wicked wood of evil. However you have proven nothing other wise, you don't belong in Atlantis. She is already there, but even if you make it you will never no where."

It stabbed him in the back, literally. And all he wanted was the truth. To find his cousin, to protect her. He was doing a bad job so far. From the moment he saw her he wanted to keep her safe. He wanted to keep her alive. He had to keep her safe. And now he was running out of changes. His life was falling away, and he could feel himself growing tired. Yet he couldn't stop. He couldn't. He had to keep going. For Fauna. For their family.

He needed a guide to find her, and this siren offered him a wonderful chance. He needed to keep her alive, but how could he keep her alive without her killing him?

"Show me!" He demanded through a cracking voice and violent sobs. "Just take me to her. Please."

Begging wasn't like him, but he had nothing to lose, and nothing to gain. If she didn't want to help, he would die without finding her.

"Please."

Just help me.

    Surprises commands my senses as the sincere nature of his pleas reach my ears. Within my shallow chest I feel sympathy for the boy's request, yet I am not foolish enough to challenge the Ruler. Atlantis was under new dominion, one who's questioning would result in certain death. I sigh as I dip my head to the boy, "I commend your nobility for the girl, its clear she is special to you. I'll give you my word that she shall not die so long as I live. Now rest easy invader and be taken into the current of the depths."
