Name: Sage Scarborough
Gender: Male
Age: Sixteen
District/Capitol: District Twelve
Appearance(1 paragraph):
As a boy of sixteen, Sage is often described as rather skinny. Strength was never really something he had much of, and is often injured in some way, whether it be bumps and bruises or other such things. Many of the scars on Sage's body come from his bad luck, which often gets him hurt. The boy's brown hair and chocolate-colored eyes compliment the rest his features. His soft skin and soft-looking pink lips give him a smooth look to his face, which rarely has any blemishes.
Sage's nose is neither too big nor too small. The boy seems to have a slightly longer neck than average, and his ears are sometimes seen as too large, which bothers him. Since the boy is skinny, he doesn't have a very muscular build, although his endurance is definitely present. Agility, on the other hand, is something absent from the clumsy boy. He often gets injured, whether that be because of running into things, tripping or other incidents that will damage him in some way.
In general, Sage wears clothes that are more functional than stylish. He isn't too concerned about the clothes he wears, and has never really spent much money on what he chooses to adorn himself with. Often, the boy even can be seen making some of his own clothing, using the small amount of sewing skills he has picked up. Overall, Sage isn't one who dislikes his appearance too much. Although, he isn't exceedingly confident in his looks, either.
Personality(1 paragraph):
Sage has always hated how unlucky he is. He always seems to find some way to either get himself injured by accident or into some sort of difficult situation. This often deters people from him, too, thinking that his bad luck will effect them. Therefore, Sage has a hard time making friends sometimes. This is also in part because he doesn't have much of a filter when he talks. He often doesn't think about what he is saying, and will be too brutally honest, or will be a bit rude. Despite meaning well, this still happens on occasion.
Young Mr. Scarborough also seems to have a habit of often making jokes that aren't timed the best, meaning he's saying things sometimes that shouldn't be said in certain situations. Therefore, he often gets told off by others. His temper isn't too bad, luckily, so he isn't likely to snap at people. He always has wanted to be seen as a nice person, but sometimes he has trouble knowing what to say to compliment someone or just have a normal conversation. Sage has never been afraid to speak his mind to other people.
Sage has always loved when he gets the chance to actually be close with someone. He's particularly close with his sister, Parsley, and loves to spend time with her. The boy is rather protective of anyone he gets really close with, whether that be a sibling, other family member, friend or someone he may be in a relationship with. He's always been terrified of losing someone close to him, and hopes to never have to have that happen. Some of Sage's hobbies include exploring around the district, as he likes to wander down to the District Square sometimes, as well as doing anything that involves music. He loved to sing, and has even taught himself to whistle in certain ways that sound rather musical.
History(1 paragraph):
The boy's mother died in childbirth, which resulted in the young boy being orphaned, since his father had passed away from sickness shortly before the child was born. After the death of both of his parents, the orphaned boy was taken in by a kind woman that named him Sage, after an old story. His now-sister, Parsley, was named in a similar way. The children were raised by the kind woman, and always got along well with one another. Sage has always looked up to his older sister, and hopes to be as respectable as she is one day.
After time, unfortunately, the woman that had been caring for the two children passed away, and Parsley became the head of the family, with Sage helping where he could. When the woman passed away, Sage tried his best to make more friends outside of just his sister. It was difficult, as he was often pushed away. Eventually, he did become close with a few people, including a boy named Sycamore, and now spends a lot of time with this friend. Sage hopes that his friendship with this boy lasts, as he's been there for him whenever things have upset him, and Sage has been there for Sycamore in return.
When Sage was young, growing up with the woman who took him in alongside Parsley, he loved to play and adventure. Often, the boy would get himself into trouble unintentionally, too. It became somewhat humorous after a while, and eventually, he would wonder daily what would happen to him next. When he got into trouble, it was never anything too serious, as the worst thing that one of his bad luck incidents had ever caused him was a broken leg. He has begun to take these happenings humorously now, and will even joke about his bad luck with his closest friends.
