Name: Andesite Obsidian
Gender: Male
Age: 14
District/Capitol: Two
Appearance(1 paragraph):
Andy is about five feet and four inches tall. His build is average for a fourteen year old boy, meaning that he isn't all too large. He has hazel eyes, and blonde hair, and his appearance isn't quite as intimidating as he'd like it to be. Also, when he looks at someone, it is very rare that his smile is a genuinely nice one. In general, his smile is more of a smirk or a grin that is done for his own, usually selfish reasons. Often, however, people think that he is being friendly with the expression on his face.
Andy's hands are often bruised and cut up, as he does a lot of fighting. Some of this fighting is with other people, where as some of it is from training in the training center. As a thief, it's to Andy's benefit that he is rather quick and nimble. Due to his agility, he's often difficult to catch when he's trying to escape. Since he was rather young, Andy was not treated very well by those taking care of him, meaning that it is not unusual to find scars on his body from abuse that he may have received.
Personality(1 paragraph):
A good physical fighter, Andy is also very deceptive, and a thief. He was never very academically successful, however, and doesn't do well when confronted verbally in a fight. He's often underestimated, which frustrates him, and he is easily angered. He would be quick to fight someone, and does not back down quickly or easily. When it comes to his dreams, or more specifically, his life goal, he aspires to go into the maze. He also wishes to be seen as successful by Flynn, who is the man that has raised him since age twelve to be a thief, pickpocket and fighter. He also wants to be seen as a threatening part of 'Fagin's Gang', which is a gang of District Two thieves and fighters that was put together by Flynn.
As everyone does, Andy has some fears that may or may not be irrational. Some of these include being unsuccessful, being punished, and being seen as weak. If he is put into one of these situations, it's likely he will snap, getting very angry, very quickly. When he is angered, Andy will often get physical, and will not be afraid to act out. He will hit someone if he needs to. Quite a procrastinator, this is perhaps why he was never a good student in school. This, however, is not something that bothers him. He thinks that his priorities in life should consist of being a part of Fagin's Gang, and preparing himself for the Hunger Games.
Always having loved to fight, training for the Hunger Games was the perfect opportunity for him. Andy was raised to fight since a young age, and uses the anger of his somewhat abused past as a motive to do so. As a not-so-sensitive person, it's hard to upset Andy emotionally, as in making him sad or to the point of crying. He has no memory of his family, so he is not very close to many people. Therefore, if someone he knows gets hurt, he is not as likely to defend them, because of never knowing what it was like to have a protective family or guardian.
History(1 paragraph):
At a very young age, Andy was taken away from his true family. He has never been sure of who they are, as he doesn't remember them. When he was taken from them, he was first given to a very overworked nanny that was not interested in taking care of him, or any of the other children dumped there. She would 'care' for them in a rather abusive way until they were about twelve years old. Andy, being one of the ones who managed to endure and survive the abuse, was then taken by G. Flynn. Flynn then raised Andy and any others that survived to be thieves and other things of the sort, as well as making sure they were trained and ready for the games.
Being brought up by the nanny was very rough for Andy, however, he actually began to enjoy living with Flynn and being a part of what Flynn called 'Fagin's Gang'. This gang wasn't liked by many decent people in the district, but it was what Andy had grown up to love being a part of. He has spent his life being a thief and criminal. Having known no different, he honestly doesn't like doing what is seen as good, as he much prefers how he has lived in the gang. Due to being a part of the gang, however, Andy has earned very few friends outside of the group.
Any friends that Andy does have aren't do-gooders themselves, either. They are very similar in what they do. This is either because of how they grew up, of because Andy has influenced them, as he can be very persuasive and deceptive. When he's with these few friends, they certainly don't do good deeds. Especially because most of the friends Andy has are a part of Fagin's Gang, they will act in fights, and also due things such as participating in thievery, deception and other gang activity.
