Our Freezing Survival {Surface} // Iain Desme Day 6

As selecting to go right a sudden tide returns you to the surface. To your up most fear you discover icebergs rushing towards you while sheer gale winds freeze your face. Your task is simple survive the three different dice rolls which will be provided descriping the danger approaching.

For this one the result will be the direct amount of damage your Runner will take. A specific result will be given by me after you roll I.E. a crushed arm by two slamming icebergs together.

The situation: three massive icebergs rush towards you swiftly and you must avoid them at all costs.

Somehow I'm alive, and for the first time my stomach isn't growling, but it hurts. Looking at her face in the anthem destroys me. Tears roll down the side of my face, and it's really an amazing thing knowing many wouldn't know it unless they looked closely. The water is my friend, but right now it's so cold. I didn't mean to kill her, and all I want to do is get out of this alive. To find my way back home to my parents, my brother, my cousins. I miss them, and they're the only thing keeping me going. But my heart is broken. It's crushed, and yet it claws at my ribs begging for an escape.

But nothing will set me free.

I'm bound by chains, and something happened. I'm still alive, but what's the cost? Taking another life? Destroying the very thing I held dearly? It doesn't matter because the waves are hard, and they're crashing against me. Throwing me around like a doll I held onto as a child. I can't tell which way is which, but one thing I do know is I'm heading up.

My head bursts through the top of the water, and my eyes are hurting so bad. I squint to look in every direction only to find I'm heading straight towards massive icebergs. Every hair stands on end, and I'm shivering uncontrollably. Everything hurts, and I can see my breath in front of me, but as the first iceberg gets close, and I try to move out of it's way. Flapping my arms as I draw myself closer and closer. Knowing that if I hit it'll hurt. But what can I really do? I'm falling apart, landing in the midst of the darkness. I can't see, but I swim to the left as fast as I can trying to turn around away. I feel like I'm shutting down.

But I have to live.

It's so cold. My body is going numb, and I can't think. Can't move. All I know is I have to survive. But it's hurting me. Blood leaks from my skin, and I can't scream. I'm afraid of dying, but I killed like it was nothing.

I didn't mean to.

It doesn't matter if I meant to or not. She's dead because of me. The vines swinging from my arms killed her. Destroyed her like she was nothing.

I'm sorry.

But I know it won't cover it. I can't keep saying I'm sorry. I can't keep apologizing because the dead is dead. The dead has passed on, and yet I'm still alive. Still here. Still standing here like nothing matters.

I'm alive.

I have to keep living.

Yet the icebergs are coming towards me, and they're going to smash me if I don't hurry and get away. I can't do anything anymore. I can't survive this. I'm prepared to die and pay for sins. I have committed many, but nothing can repay what I did the most. I deserve to die for it. I will pay the price no matter what happens. Living like this isn't the life I wanted, and now it's the only thing I'll ever know. Her death haunts me.

I close my eyes before swimming to the right as fast as I possibly can. I can miss it. I know I can. It's the only option, and if I don't miss it I'm going to die.

I just hope it doesn't hurt.

Situation: a whirlpool threatens to pull you down to Atlantis and slam you into the ocean floor,try to escape.

How am I alive? I'm broken, battered, torn apart, and yet somehow I'm still breathing. Still moving about. My body aches, and it hurts more than anything I'd ever imagine, but the cold water is making it numb. I can't feel my toes, and my teeth are chattering like none could ever believe. Each breath hurts. I feel like my lungs are about to explode, but I'm so close. I have to be. I have to be close because dying isn't an option anymore.

I killed to survive. I killed to stay alive. I have to do this. I want to live. I just want to live, to keep myself together. To make it back home into the loving arms of my family. To see them once more.

It's all that's keeping me going.

But the pull of the water becomes faster and faster. It's pulling me down, and away. It's tearing me up. Destroying me. Trying to rid me of my life. I will escape. I can't die.

Please don't let me die.

If I die now, killing would've been for nothing because I didn't make it out of this. I hold my breath and prepare to move. I'm turning around swimming away, and I pray for one last miracle.

One last chance to survive, and maybe if I make it home, sorry will become worth it.
