   Miles every moment, that's how swiftly I see the stretches of land leap past my eyes. how swiftly I'm being stolen away from my family. My imagination is insidious insanity, I can her the cruel sounds of their sobbing, I can see their shuddering souls shaking. What good is a Mother who can't give remedy to their child's ailments? Sadness continues to swell within the sea already spinning inside of me, but I can't cry... It's because of him. Ever since first stepping onto this train his eyes haven't left my skin, they trail me with every turn I take pacing through this train car. I feel as though his stare is stalking me, waiting for me to slip so he can devour me... Who is this boy? What is this boy?

    My nerves get the best of the sick situation and I turn on him. "What are you staring at? Have I done something?" Okay, sure I'm not the most intimidating person but when you raise three kids that kind of shaves down the anger. At the very least I seem to have gotten my point across, only now he's walking towards me. I can actually feel my heart racing, feel its beat about to burst as I fall against the window sill. Can someone really die before the day they even begin?

Pierce Vilamanix

   What on earth is she freaking out about? From the moment we entered the train she has been pacing from one end of the car to the next without a single second of hesitation. Part of me is annoyed sure, but on the other hand she does have one hell of a great body. Every step I can't help but stare, I mean I'm only a teenage boy right? I'm in my prime ready to populate the planet in every means that I can. I started my crusade when I was fifteen, since then there has been no doubt what my mission is, she's up next on the menu as far as I'm concerned. I wonder if my reputation precedes me...

    A sudden shift in attitude has me standing, clearly she doesn't know who I am after all. No matter, I can easily show her just who I am with a few choice actions. Slow are my steps until I'm nearly upon her, my lips just barely short of her own with glass growling at her back. I'm on the offensive, a predator hunting its prey. "You." Confusion cripples her eyes and a smirk sneaks across my cheeks. I whisper to her again just inches from her mouth. "You asked what I'm staring at, my answer is you." Again worry whips through her world and I shush her softly a finger tracing down her cheek. "Do you blame me? A girl like you should be used to stares. But I concede, I'd love to stare at more if you'd let me."

   Shock spills down my spine as he encroaches upon every piece of what I hold as private. Who the hell is this guy? While he speaks its not excitement that fills my soul but anger, I am not some girl he can claim. I refuse to allow him to manipulate our current situation any longer, I'm not just some prey he can stalk like a tiger. My fingers move fast through the air as a satisfying slap slams across his face. I'm more than just another one of his pretty faces, I'm a Mother.

    I shove past him but I do not yet yield from my return fire. "Don't you ever come near me again Pierce. I'm not just some girl you can get to sleep with you. I have a family to fight for, a reason to survive. As far as I can tell you don't so why don't you stay the hell out of my way and just die so that someone who deserves the crown can win it instead of trash like you." Apparently Motherhood doesn't burn away all the fire a woman can create when threatened by a beast.

   The slap is sudden and stings my skin. Naturally a hand covers the area she has assaulted but my eyes never leave her's. She speaks of a family and throws her knives in the form of words but I don't listen. She acts like she knows me but her actions have proven otherwise, its never smart to make me an enemy, especially when I'm a lover more than a fighter. None the less her deeds are done and only death can do our battles to rest. Hell, I don't even want to sleep with her now if she came back and let me. 

    A sinister smile fills my face as my hand falls from my cheek. She's so defensive, might as well toy with the dream diluted girl whose gonna die. "No, screw you. I have a reason to live, and the reason is me. I want to live, and do you want to know why?" I let my knives sharpen as I again take a step towards her. I might have been denied but I am never beaten, never. "I want to live so that I can have sex with anyone I please both in the Capitol and in Twelve. That's reason enough for me to fight. Reason enough for me to kill you."

   This boy, this thing, he disgusts me in every aspect of the word. His actions are intolerable and his intentions are  insidious, every moment I speak with him the clearer his nature becomes. We're polar opposites, he stands for nothing but a demented dream and I stand for my children, for my siblings, for my parents. If this boy survives the war to come then he won't care about those to come after him. I have to protect the children of the District who come after us. This is a battle for the very future of District Twelve, I can't afford to step down to such a disgusting being. 

    Now I'm taking steps towards him. Now I'm inches from his face with fire flickering in my eyes and flowing from my mouth. "You can try, but you'll fail. You don't deserve to live. I'll see to it that you're the first person I'm hunting down in that Maze. I knew it would be you or me before meeting, but now you've made it easy. Watch your back Pierce because once I find my allies, we're coming for you."

   As our time toils on threats tear through our tongues, her appearing more personal than my own. She intrigues me to say the least but her way of going about things has pushed my final button. Come the time for us to enter the Maze she has rooted herself an enemy in me. Such a shame, she had such great potential. No matter, no this was war and I am going to make it clear to her just who she's pissed off. Enemies on the first day, I'm sure this is probably a new record for district partners. 

    She steps forward and so do I. I want her to see how serious I am when she is staring into my eyes. "Okay then Princess, game on. Day One my allies and I kill you in front of your family. As for your's, good luck finding any of them once they know I'm after you. Who are they going to pick, the tough guy or the soft girl with a target on her back? Either way even if you do find some I'll kill them all too." I begin to walk away but before I leave the car and enter the hall I look back at her with death dwelling in my eyes. "Oh, and one last thing. If I win I promise to make your family's life hell. Good luck Princess, the odds aren't in your favor." I leave the car and officially let the war begin.
