Name: Drôle Prank
Age: 13
Female: Female
District: Seven
APPEARANCE
As I gaze into the mirror in front of me, my small, glacial blue eyes stare back at me. My thick, arched eyebrows reside above them. As my freckled face smiles back at me with white teeth and thin lips, I see my light colored skin tone and how smooth it all is. Dimples show up as I show a slightly crooked smile. My teeth have never been quite straight, either, as they overlap in some places.
I have an oval shaped face that I think is rather flattering on me. Or at least, it's flattering for a thirteen year old girl. High cheekbones are a present part of my facial structure, too. My round chin protrudes from my face a bit more than pleases me, but I don't let these little flaws in my appearance bother me too much. With a small, pointed nose that I do get made fun of for, I just have to learn not to worry about what other people think of my looks. After all, I think that everyone has at least one thing they don't like about how they look.
My glossy lips are rarely dry, even in the winter. They're smooth and healthy, and I think it really makes my smile look great, even when I don't show my teeth. The hair on my head is silky and layered, framing my face nicely. I love the color of it, which is a light brown. When my hair rests on my shoulders, it gets in my face sometimes, but I still rarely ever put it back, as it doesn't bother me all that much. My hair is also rather thick, which can make it hard to style. That's more of a reason for me to leave it down, only brushing it in the morning to tame it.
I'm short and rather skinny, but I'm still rather healthy, as I'm not underweight. Sometimes I hate not being as tall as everyone else, but at other times, I notice that being small has its advantages. If I don't want to be noticed, it's much easier, since I don't stand out as much as bigger people. I'm also much more agile, and I'm a good runner. Running is a hobby of mine, and by doing it so often, I've become quite quick.
With small, delicate hands, I don't think that they would be sturdy enough for things like cutting down trees, as many people in the District do. That's why, instead, I do a lot of woodworking to try to make an income for my large family. Since I'm so young, there's not much I can do for work, but I try my best to make do with however I can help. Unfortunately, woodworking has left me with a lot of cuts and scars on my hands. It's just another part of my appearance that I don't like, and again, I just try to ignore it, and not think about the judgment of others.
I've often been told that I dress rather eccentrically. I guess that the people who say this are right, in a way. After all, I love to wear bright colors, such as red, orange, yellow and pink. The warmer colors on the spectrum have always appealed to me. The clothing itself, though, is quite simple. I often wear a t-shirt and jeans or shorts. I don't often dress up too much unless I have to, for something such as the reaping. Perhaps the reaping itself isn't the only thing I dread around that time of year. Maybe it's also the idea of having to wear a dress, which is something I hate to do. I've always been more like the boys, getting dirty outside, meaning that I'm not too into trying to keep things neat and tidy.
PERSONALITY
I've been told that I have some very strange habits and hobbies. Actually, I'd say that everyone in my overly large family has something odd about them, whether it be an obscure collection or an interesting quirk. I'd say I have both of those things. To many people, it sounds odd, but I enjoy collecting sticks and scraps of tree bark from different types of trees, which is rather easy to do in District Seven. Then, I like chasing my family members around with the particularly sharp ones. I'm not quite positive why I find that to be amusing, especially since I know for sure that my family doesn't like it. Sometimes I've been told I'm a bully, due to the enjoyment I find in tormenting others. Though, I never actually mean to hurt anyone, as I'm just messing around.
Despite being only thirteen years old, I'd say I'm quite intelligent. I do well with my school work, as well as things that involve using logic skills, such as solving puzzles, as well as problems that arise in everyday life. Sometimes, though, I'm told that I use my smarts for the wrong reasons, such as tricking other people into doing what I want them to do. Still, I don't really feel guilt because of it. As long as no one is hurting my family or the other people in my life that I care about, I'm generally a rather happy person. Even though I tease and torment my loved ones from time to time, I still care for the, greatly and would hate for anything to cause them any real harm. Sometimes, I've begun to think that I get along with my pet toad better than I do with people.
HISTORY
I've grown up in a family that could be called huge without exaggerating. I have a lot of siblings, and to be honest with you, sometimes I lose count of how many of them there are. I have a twin brother named Zero, but we don't spend as much time together as I'd like. Sometimes, I feel like he's ignoring me. That can make things difficult, but I learn to cope with it by just spending time with my many other siblings. After all, in such a busy household, it's hard not to be able to find someone to talk to.
Friends aren't something I have a whole lot of, but I do have a few close ones that have stuck with me, despite my oddities and crazy family. I often spend my time with them when I need to get away from my family, and we do things such as play outside or climb trees. I've always been someone who loves the outdoors. As a little girl, I even ran away into the woods within the District for a whole day when I was upset, and my parents didn't even notice I was gone until I got back. It's not that they don't care about me. I believe they didn't notice just because it's hard to keep track of so many of us.
My school years have been some of the better years of my life. I really do enjoy learning, and school is where I've made the few friends I have. Luckily for me, so far, nothing too traumatic has happened in my life so far. I've never lost someone close to me, either. Overall, I've had a very good childhood, treated well by my family, even if we're all seen as a bunch of crazy folk by everyone else.
