You know, there's something I've never really understood... Oh sorry I should elaborate more, I forget to do that a lot. Its that thing people say whenever something is supposed to be easy, its not rocket science. Isn't rocket science easy though? So why would they produce a paradoxical phrase? My Mom tells me its because my cerebral cortex contorts and controls information in processing power that others simply don't, sorry I should simplify this, not everyone is a genius. I didn't always know I was a genius but my parents have certainly told me its always been who I am. You know I even remember the story of when they knew I was more than just another average inhabitant of District Six. Mom says I was doing a Math project for school, fifth grade mind you, and she had always known I was smart but then Dad came rushing down stairs screaming "Scarlet you have to see this!" In a matter of moments they were both standing agape at the edge of my bed pawing through fifty seven papers proving and confirming famous scientist Einstein's Theory of Relativity, apparently that isn't something every fifth grader does. Now wait, I know what you must be thinking, I'm a super genius. Wong. Uh... well... I mean you're right, except its not all its cut out to be, being on such a saturated state of sentient speed with insane amount of electrical friction filling my mind... Sorry, did it again. It comes with its back lashes let's just put it that way.
I don't specialize in social interactions as I'm certain you've ascertained already by this point in the letter. When it comes to the concise creation of complex conversations, I'm a D student at best. I'm jittery and jerky when around others, I speak at speeds unable to be followed about subjects others can't comprehend, I sometimes even get so bored with the simplicity of some of the sentences I hear I actually start to shift into sleep while standing. I know, I sound like a fun person to talk to right? Its alright though, I get by well on my own and with the few people able to stand such tragic conversations with me. I sometimes wonder if they even try to listen to my theories when I speak considering over half of who talks to me have no scientific or mathematical background at all. At least I'm generally loved by the district as a whole, sure they see me as a sweet awkward person but they know my mind is second to none. When things need to be made from the impossible, I'm the one they call. When things need to be repaired by the best, I'm the one they call. When new theories are needed in order to explain fluctuating phenomena, I'm the one they call. I'm District Six's own golden boy.
People in the District also say I'm undoubtedly a Zion. Throughout all of Panem's history the Zion family has been regarded as one of the most intelligent families in the nation, we even own the most and most advanced technological facilities in the nation: Zion Industries. However, they say my stunning perfect parameters for knowledge are not the only reason my name comes as no sudden surprise upon meeting me. My thick short brown hair, light freckled skin, and deep warm brown eyes are all Zion family traits passed down through the generations. In fact, these genes are so strong in my family's past, as of right now only two of my large family's living members have any different features, and even then its slight. Oh and not to mention those digressions are also not from the main family branch where I reside as heir to the family industries and name. I sometimes worry my younger brother Wally, short for Wallace, is angry about never having a chance to be head of the house, but then I always remember he has no interest. Wally's different than me, although still in love with technology he enjoys the riddles of inventions alone, he has no desires to run a company like Zion Industries. Its better that way though, it lets us stay close and that's just what I need considering how short I am on people to listen to the rush of words which shovel frequently from my mouth. Oh and a little fun fact before I sign off, I graduated school at eleven, pretty neat right? Sorry I just love to share that, oh man is that conceded? I'm sorry if it is I don't mean it, I really don't. I um... I'll just get going now... Thanks for reading!
