The 48th Maze Running Opening Parade

Perhaps the Capitol and all of Panem's favorite moments of the Pre-Maze Week is the Opening Ceremony occurring the first night of the Runners' occupation in the Capitol. Not only is it the Capitolites first chance to see the Runners, but also the first chance for the Runners to show off to Sponsors and interact with one another. The importance of this moment simply cannot be overstated. This event begins on the street before the Design Building found directly next to the Train Station and continues all the way to the Capitol's center where the Runners ride in chariots carrying their Districts colored torch to light their Brazier in the Capitol's center. Truly a spectacle of tantamount importance and greatness!
